Sikkim’s Dilu Tamang To Represent India At Cultural Event In Japan; CM Tamang Congratulates

Gangtok, Apr 12: Sikkimese folk dancer Dil Kumari Tamang (Dilu) has been selected by the Sangeet Natak Akademi to represent India at the prestigious “Ullas” cultural event in Osaka, Japan, on April 12.

Dilu will showcase traditional Sikkimese folk dances, including Maruni, Ghatu, and Tamang Selo, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Sikkim on an international stage.

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has congratulated Dilu on her remarkable achievement and extended his best wishes for a successful performance at the event. He expressed immense pride in her being one of only 13 artists chosen from across India.
