Manipur: Training Programme For MGNREGS MATES Held In Thoubal

A one-day training programme for MATES, the frontline supervisors overseeing work at MGNREGS worksites, was held today at the counting hall of the Deputy Commissioner Office Complex, Thoubal. The workshop was organized by the District Programme Coordinator, Thoubal, with the objective of upgrading the knowledge and skills of MATES across the district.

The event was graced by Ph. Bhavananda Sharma, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Seema Sanjenbam, MCS, Block Development Officer of Wangjing Tentha C.D. Block, and H. Kiromani Singh, MCS, Block Development Officer of Lilong C.D. Block.

Addressing the gathering, Ph. Bhavananda Sharma lauded the performance of Thoubal District under the MGNREGS, describing it as one of the best in the state. He emphasized that the dynamic and youthful MATES attending the training are pivotal to driving further growth and development in the district.

More than 300 MATES participated in the training, which included sessions to enhance their understanding of worksite supervision, implementation guidelines, and digital reporting tools.

The programme concluded with a productive interactive session led by the Management Information System (MIS) team of Thoubal, providing attendees with hands-on insights and clarifications.
