Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to visit Karbi Anglong district on Thursday to inaugurate a series of development projects worth over Rs 100 crore. These projects aim to improve connectivity in the region and enhance its cultural and natural heritage.

In a post on X, Sarma stated, “I will shortly be in Karbi Anglong to dedicate a host of projects worth over Rs 100 crore to the people. These projects will boost connectivity, honour unsung heroes, and improve the visual appeal of the region.”

The initiatives are part of broader efforts to promote development in Karbi Anglong while preserving the region’s unique heritage.

Sarma also provided updates on key medical projects in the state, including the transformation of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) into one of the largest medical facilities in the country.
