Guwahati, Apr 19: Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk visited Jogighopa in Assam’s Bongaigaon district on Saturday to inspect India’s first International Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP), which is under construction as part of the Bharatmala Project.

The King arrived at the site in a royal helicopter and was received by Assam Public Health and Engineering Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah.

Baruah, in a post on social media platform X, stated that he welcomed the King to Assam as per the directives of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The MMLP at Jogighopa is expected to enhance regional connectivity and trade with neighbouring countries, including Bhutan.
