Tripura: BSF Seizes Rs 50 Lakh Worth Contraband Along Indo-Bangladesh Border

Troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) Tripura, in coordination with police, carried out multiple operations on April 17 and seized contraband worth over ₹50 lakh along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

In a joint operation with police, BSF personnel recovered 2,000 mobile displays valued at ₹48 lakh from an abandoned house in Nutanpara area under Belonia Police Station in South Tripura. The items were suspected to be meant for smuggling into Bangladesh.

In separate actions along the border, BSF troops rescued cattle and seized ganja and Phensedyl worth ₹2.41 lakh. They also recovered 57,080 Bangladeshi Taka.
