Tripura: Three Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested At Agartala Railway Station For Illegal Entry

Agartala, Apr 21: Three Bangladeshi nationals were arrested on April 19, 2025, at Agartala Railway Station for illegally entering India from Bangladesh. The arrests were made by the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF), and Border Security Force (BSF) in a joint operation based on specific intelligence.

The arrested individuals include Kamrun Nesa (23) from Dhaka, and Md. Ismail Hossain (22) and Mohammad Nur Hossain (25) from Chittagong. During initial questioning, Nesa stated that she was planning to travel to Bengaluru via Kolkata, while the two men were headed to Chennai via Kolkata.

A case has been registered at the Agartala GRP Police Station, and further investigation is underway. Authorities suspect the involvement of human trafficking networks and anticipate more arrests. The accused will be presented in court soon.
