Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed deep despair on Wednesday following the tragic death of Corporal Tage Hailyang of the Indian Air Force, killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam terror attack on Tuesday. Hailyang was on a personal visit to Pahalgam with his wife. A native of Tajang village in Lower Subansiri, Corporal Hailyang was tragically taken in what Khandu called a “senseless act of terror.”
In his message, Khandu paid tribute to the late IAF personnel for his service and dedication to the nation, calling his untimely death a significant loss to both his family and the country. The Chief Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to Hailyang’s surviving wife and family, wishing them strength and solace during this time of unimaginable grief.
“His courage, honour, and sacrifice will never be forgotten,” Khandu concluded, with “Om Mani Padme Hum.”
