Mizoram Sports Minister Unveils Official T-Shirts For Aizawl International Half Marathon 2025

Aizawl, Apr 23: Mizoram’s Sports Minister, Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, hosted a press conference on Wednesday at the Directorate of Sports & Youth Services to release the official T-shirts for the Aizawl International Half Marathon 2025 (AIHM 2025). The event, which is recognised by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), will take place on April 26, 2025.

In his address, Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar shared the vision behind the AIHM, highlighting its goals of promoting fitness culture, boosting tourism, and placing Mizoram on the international marathon map. He also emphasized the long-term objective of establishing an annual full marathon event in the state.

The Sports Minister invited elite runners and sports enthusiasts from India and abroad to participate in the marathon.

AIHM 2025 is a joint initiative between the Government of Mizoram and Innovations India Advertising & Event Pvt. Ltd. The event will feature four race categories: Half Marathon (21.1 km), Open Race (10 km), Fun Race (5 km), and Junior Category (5 km). The total prize money of Rs 10 lakh will be distributed among the winners.

The race course will be held along the east bypass road of Aizawl, with the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium serving as the start and finish point. Participants are expected to gather at 5:30 AM, with the race commencing at 6:30 AM following a warm-up session at 6:00 AM.

Registration for the event is open until 6:00 PM on April 24 at www.aihm2025.com. The registration fee is Rs 799 for domestic participants and USD 30 for international participants. A helpline number, 9863081655, is also available for inquiries.

Gen (Dr) V.K. Singh, Governor of Mizoram, and Pu Lalduhoma, Chief Minister, are the patrons of the event.
