In the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024, Tripura’s Sagar Datta Majumdar from Agartala has secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 317 and the results of which were announced on April 22.

A former student of Ramakrishna Mission School in Agartala, Sagar has consistently demonstrated academic excellence. He scored an impressive 95% in Class 10 in 2016 and completed his Class 12 in 2018. He went on to pursue a degree in Physics (Honours) at Delhi University’s Ramjas College, graduating in 2019.

Born to Tushar Datta Majumdar and Gauri Datta Majumdar—a retired ONGC employee—Sagar has been residing in Delhi since 2020, preparing with quiet determination for the UPSC exams.

Earlier this year, Sagar also topped the Tripura Public Service Examination and is currently serving in the Tripura Civil Service. Colleagues and seniors alike have praised his professionalism and dedication in his short but impactful tenure.
