Itanagar, Apr 25: Sixteen of the 27 districts in Arunachal Pradesh have been declared malaria-free, a health official confirmed.
Speaking at the World Malaria Day 2025 event in Naharlagun, Dr KT Mulung, Deputy Director of Health Services and State Programme Officer of the National Centre for Vector Borne Disease Control (NCVBDC), acknowledged the crucial role of health workers, community volunteers, and field staff in reaching this achievement.
Dr Mulung also reiterated the state’s commitment to becoming malaria-free by 2027.
