The Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, graced the Foundation Day celebration of the Bio-Resources and Sustainable Development Institute (BRIC-IBSD) at Takyelpat, Imphal.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Bhalla emphasized the rich biodiversity of Northeast India and underscored the immense potential for sustainable development through scientific innovation.

During his visit, the Governor toured the institute’s Genome Sequencing Facility, appreciating the advanced research being carried out.

As part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, he also planted a sapling on the institute premises, promoting environmental conservation.
