Agartala, April 26, 2025: Tripura’s SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das on Saturday expressed deep anger over the repeated attacks on Hindu religious institutions in the state, warning of grave consequences if such incidents continue. He issued a stern message, stating that “those with a jihadist mindset should not dare to test the patience of Hindus.”
Speaking to reporters, Das said, “The limit of patience and tolerance of Hindus has already been crossed. These continuous attacks on Hindu religious places and innocent Hindus are absolutely unacceptable.”
The minister further cautioned that if not curbed immediately, these elements might attempt to create a situation similar to that seen in Bangladesh. “If these fundamentalists get the opportunity, they may conspire to create incidents like Bangladesh in Tripura in the future,” Das warned.
Calling for unity, he urged the Hindu community to remain vigilant and maintain solidarity against such threats. “It is now necessary for Hindus to be extremely alert and united to counter this terrorist trend,” he said.
Das also appealed to the peace-loving Muslim community to stand firmly against the fundamentalist mindset. “Along with Hindus, peace-loving Muslims must also come forward and oppose this extremist mentality to preserve harmony in Tripura,” he emphasized.
