Aizawl, Apr 26: Mizoram’s lone Lok Sabha MP, Richard Vanlalhmangaiha, has urged the Central government to establish a Territorial Army unit in the state, an official statement said on Friday.

Vanlalhmangaiha made the request during a meeting with Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, in New Delhi on Thursday, the statement said.

It also noted that Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma had earlier made a similar appeal to the Centre for the establishment of a Territorial Army unit in the state.
