Sikkim CM Attends Meditation Programme For Stress-Free Administration In Gangtok

Gangtok, Apr 26: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, along with Madam Krishna Rai, attended the Special Programme for Administrators on “Meditation for Stress-Free and Successful Administration” at Chintan Bhawan on Saturday. The event focused on the role of meditation in reducing stress, fostering unity, and enhancing the effectiveness of administrative practices.

The programme, themed “Meditation for World Unity & Trust,” aimed to inspire participants to cultivate self-trust, build mutual understanding, and contribute to global harmony through meditation. The practice was highlighted as a tool to achieve inner peace and manage professional challenges more effectively.

Minister of Printing & Stationery, Social Welfare, and Women, Child, Senior Citizen, and Divyangjan Welfare, Mr. Samdup Lepcha, expressed his appreciation for the event, emphasizing the importance of meditation in promoting unity and positivity within the administrative framework. He thanked the visiting dignitaries for their inspiring sessions on how meditation can positively impact governance.

Madam Krishna Rai addressed the gathering, stressing the value of meditation in handling stress, particularly in professional roles. She acknowledged the Brahma Kumari Meditation Centres across Sikkim for their efforts in promoting self-empowerment and well-being, encouraging people to participate in the meditation courses offered by the centres.

BK Vidhatri from the Om Shanti Retreat Centre, Delhi, shared insights on creating a stress-free administration through meditation. She explained that meditation helps simplify the mind and enhance the quality of governance by fostering unity and a focus on public welfare. BK Veena from Sirsi, Karnataka, also highlighted the spiritual and practical benefits of meditation, particularly in achieving self-realization and connecting with universal truth.

BK Bharat Bhushan, National Co-ordinator, emphasized that meditation and yoga are essential tools for administrators, promoting inner calm and clarity. He noted that true leadership requires more than technical skills and that meditation can provide the inner strength necessary for effective governance.

BK Harish from Mount Abu, Rajasthan, extended his best wishes for Sikkim’s Golden Jubilee and discussed how meditation fosters unity and trust, transcending cultural and religious boundaries. He stressed that meditation is a key practice for societal transformation.

BK Sonam Didi, In Charge of Brahma Kumaris Sikkim, expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and participants, encouraging them to continue their journey with meditation for personal growth and well-being.

The event also featured a practical meditation session led by BK Laxmi, Zonal Co-ordinator of the Administrator Wing in Delhi. Mementoes and Godly gifts were presented to attendees in recognition of their participation.

The programme, organized by Brahma Kumaris Gangtok Sikkim and the Administrators Service Wing, was attended by ministers, government officials, and administrators from various departments across the state.
