Agartala, April 26, 2025: Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath today held an important meeting with Union Power Minister Manohar Lal during a session related to North Eastern Power Management in Gangtok. Discussions centered around the modernization and overall development of Tripura’s power infrastructure.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, “Union Power Minister Manohar Lal ji has assured that the central government will extend all possible assistance for the comprehensive development of Tripura’s power sector.” He expressed confidence that the state’s power system would witness significant improvement with central support.
During his visit, Ratan Lal Nath also met Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang. On behalf of the people of Tripura, he warmly welcomed the Sikkim Chief Minister by presenting a portrait depicting Tripura’s traditional Risa and the revered Mata Tripura Sundari temple.
“It was a moment of cultural pride to present the portrait of our traditional Risa and the holy Mata Tripura Sundari temple to Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang ji,” Nath said. He added that this gesture symbolized the shared spirit of unity and cultural exchange between the two northeastern states.
Power Minister Nath is currently in Gangtok to participate in key discussions aimed at strengthening power management and cooperation across the northeastern region.
