In a related operation, between April 20 and 26, 2025, the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and other security forces, including Manipur Police, CRPF, BSF, and ITBP, conducted a series of intelligence-based operations in the hill and valley districts of Manipur. These operations led to the arrest of 16 insurgent cadres and the seizure of a significant cache of weapons, explosives, and ammunition.
The security forces recovered pistols, mobile phones, two-wheelers, and currency, as part of their efforts to counter insurgent activities and maintain peace in the region. The apprehended insurgents have been handed over to Manipur Police for further investigation and legal action.
These joint operations reflect the continued commitment of the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and local law enforcement to ensure security and disrupt insurgent activities in Manipur.
