Guwahati, Apr 29: In a significant anti-drug operation, Cachar Police seized narcotics valued at approximately ₹6.7 crore near the Silchar Bypass. The operation led to the recovery of 114 grams of heroin and 20,000 Yaba tablets from a vehicle.

Two individuals were arrested in connection with the case. Police said the operation was part of the ongoing campaign against drug trafficking in Assam. Further investigation is in progress.
