Manipur Police have arrested four individuals, including a woman, in separate anti-narcotics operations carried out over the past 48 hours in Churachandpur and Thoubal districts.
According to police reports on Wednesday, two individuals—Ciinkhanlun (29) of Vengnuam and Vungtansang Munluo (36) of Suangdoh, Singngat subdivision—were apprehended on Tuesday from Valveng area under Churachandpur Police Station. During the operation, police seized 331 soap cases containing suspected brown sugar, two mobile phones, and a pickup vehicle from their possession.
In a separate operation on Monday, police arrested two more suspects—Md. Wakash (26) and Md. Yarish (21), both from Thoubal District—from Khangabok Khunou Leikai under Thoubal Police Station. Authorities recovered three soap cases containing approximately 30 grams of brown sugar, a two-wheeler vehicle, and three mobile phones.
All the arrested individuals, along with the seized contraband and vehicles, have been handed over to the respective police stations for further legal action.
