Gangtok, Apr 30: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay conducted a thorough inspection of several construction and renovation sites across Sikkim in preparation for the Golden Jubilee celebrations, marking 50 years of the state’s Statehood.

The inspection focused on the development of infrastructure, venues, and public spaces that will host events and activities during the milestone celebration. The Chief Minister assessed the progress of ongoing projects, ensuring that work quality meets expectations and that deadlines are met. He also engaged with officials, engineers, and workers, encouraging them to maintain high standards in their efforts.

Speaking during the inspection, the Chief Minister underscored the significance of the Golden Jubilee, calling it a proud moment for the people of Sikkim. “Our aim is to ensure that the celebrations reflect the state’s growth, unity, and cultural heritage,” he stated. “I commend all those working diligently to make this event truly memorable.”

The Golden Jubilee will feature a range of events, including the Kuzu Cultural Festival 2025, scheduled from May 1 to May 10, 2025.
