Tripura HC’s Retired Judge Justice Arindam Lodh Appointed as Chairperson of Tripura Human Rights Commission

Agartala, April 30, 2025: In a significant development, Justice Arindam Lodh, a retired judge of the Tripura High Court has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Tripura Human Rights Commission.

The appointment has been made by Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, has been officially announced through a notification issued today.

Under sub-section (1) of section 22 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993, the Governor has confirmed the appointment of Arindam Lodh for a tenure of three years or until he reaches the age of 70, whichever is earlier.

This decision marks a new chapter in the efforts to uphold human rights in Tripura.
