Aizawl, May 2: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma met with a delegation from the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) on Thursday at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall in Aizawl.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister thanked the NCST team for their timely visit and expressed appreciation for their commitment to the welfare of the state. He stated that the State Review Meeting and the delegation’s visits to the Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) would contribute positively to the development of Mizoram.
The NCST delegation, led by Chairman Antar Singh Arya, acknowledged the proactive measures taken by the Mizoram government and assured the Chief Minister of the Commission’s continued support. They also invited him to New Delhi for further discussions with the Commission.
The delegation included NCST Members Nirupam Chakma, Asha Lakra, and Jatothu Hussain, as well as Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel and other senior officials.
Before meeting the Chief Minister, the NCST delegation held a State Review Meeting on Wednesday at the Secretariat Conference Hall following their visits to various ADCs. In the evening, they attended a reception hosted by the Chief Minister at Aijal Club.
