Guwahati, May 2: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday announced that the Assam government will establish three specialised pet care hospitals and five veterinary medical facilities across the state to improve animal healthcare infrastructure.
In a post on X, Sarma said the pet care hospitals will be developed under a comprehensive plan and are expected to be operational by the end of 2025.
He also stated that five veterinary hospitals are being set up in different parts of the state to provide better treatment services for animals.
