Imphal, May 3: The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) has called for a peaceful and fair conduct of the NEET (UG) 2025 exam, scheduled for May 4, under the National Testing Agency (NTA).

In a press release, ANSAM extended its best wishes to all candidates and emphasized the importance of NEET as a critical gateway for those pursuing a career in the medical profession. The association encouraged students to enter the field of medicine to serve humanity, rather than for financial gain.

ANSAM also appreciated the Government of Manipur for establishing NEET exam centres in the hill districts of the state since 2024, a move it views positively for addressing the educational needs of tribal communities. The association further urged the Government of India to consider increasing the number of exam centres in hill districts for various competitive exams to enhance educational access and reduce travel and financial burdens.

In its statement, ANSAM appealed to civil society organizations (CSOs) and the public to ensure that the NEET (UG) 2025 exam is conducted peacefully, requesting that no bandh or strikes take place during the exam period.

For assistance at exam centres in the Naga hill districts, ANSAM has provided a helpline at 8413944912.
