Guwahati, May 3: Nikita Fukushiro, Speaker of Japan’s House of Representatives, will lead a 45-member delegation on a three-day visit to Assam, starting Saturday, as confirmed by officials.

The delegation is expected to arrive in the evening and will meet with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. They will then visit the Assam Legislative Assembly for an interaction with the state’s elected representatives.

Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Sarma will also attend the meeting, followed by a cultural programme and dinner.
