Aizawl, May 3: Mizoram Health Minister Lalrinpuii took part in the two-day National AYUSH Mission Conclave, 2025, held in Lonavala, Pune. The Ministry of AYUSH commended her participation and recognised Mizoram as one of the best-performing states under the mission.
In her address, Lalrinpuii outlined the state’s key initiatives and achievements under the National AYUSH Mission. She thanked the Ministry of AYUSH for its continuous support and assured that Mizoram would continue striving to enhance its healthcare services. She added that the collaboration enables the state to significantly contribute to the national goal of a “Viksit Bharat.”
Dr. S. Mara Thansiami, Deputy Director of AYUSH, gave a presentation on ‘Best Practices on Financial Management, Monitoring and Evaluation for Successful Outcome of the Scheme,’ highlighting Mizoram’s effective strategies.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH and Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Prataprao Jadhav, who served as the Chief Guest, lauded Mizoram’s efforts and stated that the state’s progress shows how even remote regions can deliver quality healthcare.
Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, also acknowledged the impact of the mission in Mizoram, particularly in improving geriatric care and increasing access to medicines and health services in underserved areas.
