Sikkim Governor Inaugurates Annual Health Camp To Mark 50th Statehood Anniversary

Gangtok, May 5: Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur inaugurated the Annual Health Camp from Raj Bhavan on Monday, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the state’s statehood. Doctors and specialists from STNM Hospital, CRH Manipal, and Neotia Siliguri left Raj Bhavan for PTC Yangang, where the camp will be held.

Governor Mathur reflected on the significant progress made by Sikkim over the past five decades, especially in the healthcare sector. He emphasized that healthcare had always been a priority for the state, with Raj Bhavan continuing to support public health through such initiatives.

During the flag-off, the Governor remarked, “Health has remained a priority for the state, and Raj Bhavan has upheld its commitment by organizing the Annual Health Camp as a customary gesture to support and promote public health.”
