Aizawl, May 5: Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, met Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma and Governor VK Singh during his visit to Aizawl on Sunday.
Margherita called on Chief Minister Lalduhoma at his residence, where the two leaders held discussions on governance and development. The Union Minister described the meeting as an enriching experience and presented the Chief Minister with a traditional Assamese ‘Gamosa’ along with blessings from the Maa Kamakhya temple.
Earlier in the day, Margherita visited Raj Bhavan and met Governor VK Singh. He shared views on various issues and acknowledged the Governor’s extensive administrative experience. The Minister also offered the Governor a ‘Gamosa’ and blessings from the temple.
As part of his visit, Margherita attended a service at a Baptist church in Aizawl, accompanied by BJP Mizoram State President H. M. K. Aizawl. He interacted with members of the Christian community, emphasizing unity, shared values, and mutual respect.
