Sikkim Tourism Minister Launches Heritage Walk In Gangtok

Gangtok, May 7: Tshering Thendup Bhutia, Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, and Commerce and Industries, officially launched the ‘Kuzu Cultural Festival 2025 Heritage Walk’ from Tashiling Secretariat in Gangtok on Wednesday.

The walk covered prominent cultural and historical sites, including the Enchey Monastery and Raj Bhawan. Participants were given a detailed historical overview of these locations by Allen Targain, Vice President of the Sikkim Hotel and Restaurant Association.

The Heritage Walk, part of the ‘Kuzu Cultural Festival 2025,’ is designed to offer participants an immersive experience into the state’s cultural and historical legacy, deepening their understanding of Sikkim’s heritage.

Notable attendees included Additional Chief Secretary of the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, CS Rao, Additional Secretary Prerna Chamling, Chief Executive Officer of the Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation, Rajendra Chettri, and other senior department officials.
