Two More Arrested In Assam For Allegedly Defending Pakistan

Guwahati, May 7: Assam Police have arrested two more individuals for allegedly defending Pakistan following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The arrests bring the total number of individuals apprehended in connection with this matter to 45, as confirmed by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The arrested individuals, Sajid Ahmed from Sonitpur and Rojan Ali from Goalpara, were taken into custody after their alleged pro-Pakistan remarks came to light. Chief Minister Sarma shared the update on social media, stating, “Update on crackdown against traitors for defending Pakistan on Indian soil. So far, 45 Anti-Nationals have been parked in our Jails. We are on the lookout for more.”

The police have intensified efforts to track down and arrest others who are allegedly supporting Pakistan in the aftermath of the attack.
