Manipur Police arrested active cadre belonging to the proscribed KCP (PWG) and KCP (City Meitei) from separate locations in Imphal West district.

Manipur Police on Wednesday arrested one active cadre of KCP (PWG), from near the gate of Thambaleima High School, Iramsiphai Leirak Ashangba under Wangoi Police Station, Imphal West District, identified as Arambam Birkumar alias Kanba (47) of Kanglatombi Mantriband, Imphal West District. He is currently staying at a relief camp at Thambaleima High School, Iramsiphai Leirak Ashangba.

The arrestee was directly involved in extortion activities by serving monetary demands/threats to different government officials, brick farms, banks and the general public located in valley area.

In a separate operation, Manipur Police arrested 01 (one) active member of KCP (City Meitei), identified as, Oinam Sanamacha Meitei (27) of Moidangpok Khunou Mamang Leikai, Imphal West District from Awang Khunou Mayai Leikai under Patsoi- Police Station, Imphal West District.
