Itanagar, May 9: Nyato Dukam, Minister of Information & Public Relations, assured the Department of Printing & Stationery that he would apprise Chief Minister Pema Khandu of their issues. The assurance was given during the 1st Consultative Committee Meeting of the Department of IPR and Printing & Stationery. The minister acknowledged the need for a Web Offset Printing Machine to enable the state to print NCERT books and curb the shortage of school books.
The meeting discussed various issues affecting the departments, including infrastructure, manpower, and resource allocation. The minister emphasized the vital role of IPR in disseminating government initiatives and urged for innovative approaches in public communication. He also stressed the need for proper implementation of media policies and making the departments more vibrant.
The meeting was attended by MLAs Rode Bui and Namgey Tsering, who appreciated the departments’ role in the state’s development and assured full cooperation and support. Senior officials, including the Secretary IPR, Director IPR, and Deputy Director Printing & Stationery, were also present.
