Aizawl, May 9: Richard Vanlalhmangaiha, Mizoram’s lone Lok Sabha MP, has called on the central government to speed up the construction and improvement of highways in the state ahead of the monsoon season.

In an official statement released on Thursday, it was noted that Vanlalhmangaiha met with Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Ajay Tamta, in New Delhi on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the MP urged the union minister to ensure that the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) accelerates the repair and development of key highways across Mizoram.
