Agartala, May 09, 2025: Tipra Motha Party (TMP) chief and Tripura’s royal scion Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma on Thursday came out strongly in support of the Indian government and armed forces in the wake of recent provocations from Pakistan. In a forthright social media statement, Pradyot described Pakistan as a “breeding ground for terrorists” and criticized elements in Bangladesh allegedly involved in anti-India activities.

“I salute our armed forces for their fitting response,” he wrote, lauding both the government and opposition parties for displaying rare unity on national security. “At a time when Pakistan is attacking and spreading propaganda against us, we must stand together—as one India. There should be no politics when it comes to national security.”

Rejecting Pakistan’s accusations of civilian harm due to Indian actions, the TMP leader said Islamabad has long sponsored cross-border terrorism, which has claimed countless Indian civilian lives. “This is the same country where terrorists killed their own Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto. India’s response is not only justified—it shows our strength,” he asserted.

Turning to Bangladesh, Pradyot targeted sections of its society for allegedly fueling anti-India sentiment. “Some people there seem to have forgotten the atrocities committed by the Pakistan Army in 1971. Supporting them now is a betrayal of history,” he said.

In a pointed remark, he added, “Baap baap hota hai, aur bacche ko baap se darna chahiye”—suggesting India’s dominant regional position should not be taken lightly by its neighbors.

Stressing unity above all, Pradyot concluded, “I am a proud Tiprasa and an Indian first. Tipra Motha stands firmly with the Indian Army and the Government of India. Our Muslim citizens are not the enemy—our true adversaries lie beyond our borders.”
