Guwahati, May 10: The Assam government has launched a 24/7 helpline to support students from the state studying across various parts of India. This initiative is aimed at assisting students who may face challenges or emergencies during their academic journey outside Assam.
Students can now reach out to Assam Bhawan in New Delhi for assistance. The helpline numbers will be available 24/7 to provide the necessary support.
Ranadip Kumar Dam, ACS, Joint Secretary, GAD & OSD, and Vinod Kalita, House Manager of Assam Bhawan, are the designated contacts for students in need of help. They can be reached at 9874355305 (Dam) and 8920570507 (Kalita).
In addition, an emergency helpline has been set up for urgent situations. The emergency contact numbers are 011-23010298 and 26877111.
This step taken by the Assam government is intended to ensure the safety and well-being of students living away from home, offering them reliable assistance whenever needed.
