Agartala, May 10, 2025: In the backdrop of the ongoing India-Pakistan war, Tripura Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha held a high-level meeting with security agencies and directed them to intensify surveillance along the international border.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Saha said, “Tripura has remained peaceful so far, but we cannot afford to be complacent. In light of the present situation, it is essential to strengthen our vigilance at the border.”
Dr. Saha made it clear that the state government is aligning its actions with the guidance of the Centre. “We are strictly following the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to ensure the security of our people,” he stated.
The Chief Minister emphasized that although Tripura has not witnessed any disturbances, precautionary measures are being taken in the interest of public safety. He reiterated the state’s full cooperation with the central government in all security-related matters.
