Guwahati, May 14: Dr. Upasana Mahanta, the Dean of Admissions and Outreach at O.P. Jindal Global University, has made history by becoming the first Indian to join the Strategic Higher Education Advisory Council (SHEAC) of Cambridge International.

SHEAC is composed of senior academic leaders from prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford, MIT, University of Cambridge, University of Toronto, and Monash University. The council provides valuable insights and guidance on the global integration and recognition of Cambridge qualifications within higher education systems.

Dr. Mahanta’s appointment is a significant milestone for India, reflecting the country’s growing role in shaping global education policies.
