Tripura BJP Holds ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Agartala to Honour Brave Soldiers and Protest Pahalgam Terror Attacks

Agartala, May 14, 2025: A grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ was held on the roads of Agartala city on Wednesday by the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a tribute to the brave soldiers of India and in protest against recent terrorist attacks in Pahalgam.

The yatra traversed various parts of the city, witnessed participation from Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, MP Rajib Bhattacharya, Ministers Sushanta Chowdhury, Tinku Roy, MLAs Ratan Chakraborty, Mina Rani Sarkar, AMC Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder and several other dignitaries.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the significance of the yatra. “This Tiranga Yatra is a strong protest against the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. It is also a tribute to the gallant soldiers of India whose bravery in Operation Sindoor has brought justice to the victims,” he said.

Referring to the tragic incident in Pahalgam, the Chief Minister stated, “On April 22, 26 innocent tourists lost their lives in a horrific terrorist attack. Our Prime Minister has named this brutal incident ‘Operation Sindoor’ and under his leadership, our army has given a befitting reply.”

Highlighting the impact of the military operation, Dr. Saha added, “India has achieved a historic and decisive victory through the indomitable courage and valor of our armed forces. Operation Sindoor stands as a testament to our army’s strength and the capable leadership at the Centre.”

The colorful Shobha Yatra, marked by patriotic fervor and mass participation, sent a strong message of national unity and resilience against terrorism.
