Agartala, May 17, 2025: Aiming to boost the fisheries sector in Tripura, the foundation stone for the Integrated Aqua Park will be laid on May 18 next alongside the grand inauguration of the Fish Festival at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan here. The event is organized by the Department of Fisheries, Government of India.
Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Panchayati Raj, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh will inaugurate the ceremony in presence of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Minister of State George Kurian and Fisheries minister Sudhangshu Das.
Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi, IAS, Secretary, Department of Fisheries, Government of India; Sagar Mehra, Joint Secretary (Inland Fisheries & Administration), Department of Fisheries, Government of India; Dr. K. Sasikumar, IFS, Secretary, Department of Fisheries, ARD, SCW, Science, Technology & Environment, Government of Tripura; and Dr. Bijay Kumar Behera, ARS, Chief Executive, National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad will also remain present.
