Kohima, May 19: Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton attended the inauguration Mass of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican, alongside Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Harivansh.
In a post shared on social media platform X, Patton described the ceremony as “deeply moving” and said it conveyed a powerful message of peace, humility, and global solidarity.
He stated that representing India at such a significant spiritual event was a great honour and privilege.
“We pray that Pope Leo XIV’s papacy ushers in a new era of compassion, dialogue, and unity among all people and nations,” Patton added.
