Sikkim: 1300 Kg Of Relief Material Airlifted To Chaten As Rescue Operations Continue

Gangtok, Jun 7: As part of ongoing rescue and relief operations in Sikkim, two MI-17 helicopters carried out a sortie from Pakyong Greenfield Airport, delivering 1300 kilograms of essential supplies to Chaten.

The airlifted materials include both army and civilian relief items. Five officials from the Food and Civil Supplies Department also accompanied the consignment to oversee distribution.

The same helicopter is also scheduled to ferry army personnel from Chaten back to Pakyong, supporting the broader evacuation and logistical efforts in the affected region.
