The flood situation in Assam remains critical, with approximately 2.6 lakh people affected across six districts, officials said on Monday.
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), floodwaters are slowly receding in most areas, supported by a lack of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
A senior ASDMA official stated, “If it does not rain today, the situation is expected to improve significantly in most parts of the state.”
