Aizawl is set to become the fourth state capital in Northeast India to be connected by rail, marking a significant milestone in the region’s transportation development. The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) inspection is currently underway, with the formal inauguration expected soon after June 17.
Earlier, a successful trial run of the train was conducted on May 1, signalling the readiness of the rail infrastructure. This development is part of the broader effort to enhance rail connectivity across Northeast India.
