Agartala, June 11, 2025: To accelerate the delivery of welfare schemes in South Tripura district, Minister Sudhangshu Das chaired a high-level review meeting on Wednesday at the Circuit House Conference Hall in Belonia. The meeting aimed to evaluate the status of beneficiary coverage under key government initiatives for the 2025-26 financial year.
Senior officials from the Scheduled Castes Welfare Department, Animal Resources Development Department, and Fisheries Department were present, along with local public representatives.
The review focused on assessing whether intended beneficiaries were receiving timely support under various departmental schemes. Minister Das examined progress made so far and discussed implementation challenges with the officials in attendance.
Highlighting the urgency of effective governance, Minister Das stressed the importance of prompt delivery of services. He called for enhanced inter-departmental coordination to overcome procedural delays and bottlenecks.
“Our core responsibility is to ensure that every eligible beneficiary receives the benefits without unnecessary delay,” he said. “Departments must act in synergy, emphasizing both transparency and speed in executing welfare projects.”
The minister directed officials to adopt a more proactive approach in resolving field-level issues and improving administrative efficiency. He also urged regular monitoring to ensure that welfare schemes reach grassroots levels as intended.
