Shillong, Jun 12: Meghalaya Police on Thursday said that Sonam Raghuvanshi and Raj Kushwaha, the two main accused in the alleged murder of Indore-based businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, have accused each other of being the mastermind behind the crime.
According to Deputy Inspector General of Police DNR Marak, Sonam confessed to her involvement and claimed that Kushwaha, her suspected boyfriend, was the key conspirator. In contrast, Kushwaha denied the charge and alleged that Sonam had planned the murder.
Both suspects are among five individuals arrested in connection with the case. The body of Raja Raghuvanshi was recovered in a decomposed state from a gorge in Sohra, East Khasi Hills district, on June 2.
