Kohima, Jun 12: The North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR), under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, inaugurated a Common Facility Centre (CFC) at New Chümoukedima village in Nagaland.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chanchal Kumar, Secretary of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).
The CFC has been set up under the Ministry of DoNER’s PM-DevINE scheme as part of the “NECTAR Livelihood Improvement Project.” The project focuses on establishing a value chain for the utilization of banana pseudostem to produce value-added products, aimed at boosting rural livelihoods and sustainable development in the region.
