Gangtok, Jun 12: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang felicitated young athletes from the state who won medals at the Khelo India Beach Games held at Ghoghla Beach in Diu and the 7th Khelo India Youth Games held in Bihar in May.

The medalists included Yamuna Chettri, who secured a silver medal, and Eloma Subba, who won a bronze in Pencak Silat. Anchal Rai clinched a gold medal in the 2000m steeplechase event, while Rewash Rai earned a bronze in the 65kg boxing category.

During the felicitation at his official residence, the Chief Minister lauded the athletes for their outstanding performances and said, “Their hard work and commitment are truly inspiring. I extend my heartiest congratulations and wish them continued success in their future endeavours.”
