Gangtok, Jun 12: In an official ceremony held at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Paru Ruchal assumed charge as the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Pakyong District.

Previously serving as the SSP of the Special Branch, Ruchal was engaged in key responsibilities related to intelligence and internal security. Upon her arrival, she was received by officers and personnel of the Sikkim Police and was presented with a Guard of Honour.

The formal handover of duties took place in the office of the Superintendent of Police, where outgoing SP Dhan Maya Subba handed over the charge. Subba will now serve as Vigilance Officer in the Power Department.
