Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Dhubri on Friday to assess the law and order situation following recent incidents that have heightened tensions in the region.
During his visit, the Chief Minister chaired a high-level meeting with the Director General of Police, the Additional Chief Secretary, and senior officials of the state administration to review the prevailing conditions and prevent any escalation.
CM Sarma also interacted with local residents and community stakeholders to understand their concerns. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining peace and normalcy in the district and announced the deployment of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) along with additional security forces to stabilize the situation.
In addition, the Chief Minister visited the Hanuman Temple premises and assured necessary government support for its development.
To ensure continued stability, Sarma declared that strict security measures would be implemented, including firm action against those attempting to disturb public order.
