Agartala, June 14, 2025: The official website of the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has been down for several days, creating panic among candidates as the Senior Informatics Officer (SIO) examination under the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT) approaches on June 22, 2025.

The outage couldn’t have come at a worse time. Aspirants are currently unable to download admit cards or access any official updates, with the exam barely a week away. The situation is particularly alarming given that the website is hosted by the State Data Center (SDC), which falls directly under the DIT — the same department responsible for conducting the examination.

This dual role has raised serious concerns among candidates and observers alike. Many are questioning whether the website crash is a simple technical fault or a deliberate move to withhold or manipulate access to crucial exam-related information.

“This is not just inconvenient — it’s suspicious. The DIT controls both the infrastructure and the exam. The lack of updates is fuelling a lot of doubts,” said an exam candidate.

While speculation about possible foul play grows, state authorities have so far offered no official response. The silence from both TPSC and DIT has only intensified fears, with some alleging that the website may have been intentionally disabled to benefit a few individuals.

With the examination date fast approaching and no contingency measures announced, candidates are demanding immediate action from the government to restore the website and ensure a transparent, fair recruitment process.

As uncertainty looms, the question remains: was this digital blackout an unfortunate accident, or is there more to the story than meets the eye?
