Six youths from Manipur Thokchom Shiggarth, M Denish Singh, Naoton Meitei, Naoba, Meghnat Soibam, and Ronendro Angom have been commissioned as officers in the Indian Army after completing their training at the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the Indian Military Academy (IMA).
The group, who began their journey together at Sainik School, have now joined the ranks of the Indian Army, reflecting years of rigorous training and commitment to service.
Manipur, with a population of approximately 30 lakh, has one of the highest per capita contributions to the Indian Armed Forces, with around 350 officers currently serving.
